The weather cooled off a bit for Halloween but still hasn’t dropped below zero. We had quite a few trick or treaters this year, probably 30 or more. It started snowing while the kids were out but we only got a couple of inches, not the 6 or more predicted. I cleaned the chimney and wood stove and started a fire. Normally I wait till it gets below zero but the house was getting a little chilly.
Snowball and I took a walk down to the river this afternoon. The ice is nearly bank to bank now, the weather may warm up to the mid 30’s for the next couple of days so it will probably be a while before it freezes over completely.
Still pretty busy at work, I have a few papers to work on this week and I want to get some more firewood split before it gets cold. I also want to get the snow blower moved so I can get to it easier once we get some more snow.
Not much more to report. Stay warm.
Do the trick-or-treaters dress up in Alaska? How do they stay warm while collecting their candy?
Yep, they dress up, just like normal. It wasn’t that cold this year. It only got down to 8 or 10 above.
