First ice run in Galena

We had a little bit of snow and a small amount of ice this morning. By noon the ice run was a little heavier. I spotted this boat on the way to the landing, he got it out just in time.

The weather has been pretty warm lately, it gets up to around 40 during the day and drops to a little below freezing at night. I’ve got plenty of firewood this year but still need to get it cut up and split. Hopefully I will be able to get out more on the snowmachine this year.

Work has kept me pretty busy and I spend most evenings writing papers for my classes. I have managed to get the boat put up for the winter and I hope to get a little more wood split this weekend if the weather permits. Lynn stays busy with her school work and she spends several nights each week coaching the swim team or tutoring students during the academic study hour.
