I have included a few pictures of before the flood and after we returned. The water came up higher than the 1945 flood and came within 6 inches of overflowing the dike around the base. Lucky for us the base was untouched and has its own water, power, an sewer. We have a small boiler in the dining hall mechanical room that is sufficient to supply steam for the water heaters in the dorms and kitchen as well as provide steam for cooking. Power has been completely restored to the town and we are now running on our normal generators at the new town site. The road to the dump is under repair and work is progressing on repairing some of the vital public buildings and our water system. Most of the people are staying in the dorms while we work on our town. A lot has been damaged but we have a place to sleep, hot food and clean water to shower.
