So here we are in Oklahoma city. The flights down were uneventful. We moved into our hotel home for the next several days. Lynn had her knee replacement surgery on Tuesday and all went well. She used the same surgeon that did the other knee. No real issues except that she had to spend an additional night in the hospital but we are back in our room now. I would have included a picture of her, but she advised me that this wouldn’t be one of the better decisions I have made so I’ll honor her wishes.
I did find a decent place to run in Oklahoma city. We are fairly close to Lake Hefner which has some good running paths. Not much in the way of terrain of course, but it is safer than running on the streets. I didn’t do my run this morning due to the weather. The rain and high winds were one thing, but the frequent lightning convinced me that whatever training I could get in would be negated if I was incinerated by a lightning strike.
We don’t need to be back at the hospital until Tuesday for her rehab so the plan is to take it easy and keep up with the at home exercise and physical therapy program. Not sure what the weather is going to hold for the weekend so we will just play it by ear for a few days.
Glad to hear the surgery has helped. I had both of mine done in 2017. Best decision I made in a long time. Wish u a speedy recovery & safe journey home!
Thanks Pam! She is doing well so far. Hopefully we will get to head over to Arkansas next weekend.
