Iditarod and other news
Of course we all know what is dominating the news cycle lately. Not going to perpetuate that issue. I’ve been continuing with my run training. I still kind of have a hard time getting out and running at -30F but I’ll get there. Lynn and I had to cancel our trip to Vancouver due to recent events. Side note, travel insurance doesn’t cover this recent virus issue.
The Iditarod is back in Galena this year and I had a chance to get out and take a few pictures of the dogs resting in the checkpoint. The weather is super warm right now. I think it was about 33F this afternoon, this warm weather actually slows the dogs down and the snow gets mushy and hard to move in. We have had quite a bit of snow this year as well. I think I have about 2 feet or more on the roof of the house. Some of it slid off today so I spent a good bit of time shoveling around the house.
Anyway, I thought some people might enjoy some pictures. I took about 170 or so and I picked a few to show. Lots more to go. Please note that these are not my good high resolution images but they should look ok on the the web. Kind of busy at the moment but I’ll get an album made up when I get time to do some work on them.
In the mean time, stay safe and wash your hands.
