The barge arrived early this afternoon and we now have our truck at home. I had planned to take the boat out this morning but decided to wait since the barge would have the landing blocked until late in the evening. This is a fairly typical load for this particular company. About a quarter of this load will go to Koyukuk which is the next village downriver. The weather was nice today and I hope it will stay this way for the next few days as we have been getting a lot of rain. This river is fairly high, you can’t even see the top of the boat ramp. There was some freight in the back of my truck but I went ahead and delivered it to its owner here in Galena. Snowball got to take a short ride so now we have some nice dog nose prints on the windshield.
